Analysis of clinical characteristic of 273 patients with atopic dermatitis in Guangxi
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of patients with atopic dermatitis(AD)in Guangxi,so as to provide basis for personalized diagnosis,treatment,and long-term management of AD patients.Methods The basic infor-mation and clinical characteristics of 273 AD patients who visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from May to November 2022 were obtained by face-to-face questionnaire.Results ① Basic characteristics.Gender ratio of male to female was1.07 to 1.Age composition at the time of visit:4 cases in infancy(0-2 years old),77 cases in child-hood(>2 to 12 years old),162 cases in youth and adulthood(>12 to 60 years old),and 30 cases in the elderly(over 60 years old).Ethnic distribution of Han to Zhuang was 5.11 to 1.Residential environment of urban to rural was 26.3 to 1.② Clinical characteristics.The first onset was most common in the trunk;recurrence was most common during seasonal changes;almost all patients experienced itching;about 79.9%had a history of food allergy,and about 27.8%had allergic rhinitis;most patients had a history of topical corticosteroids and oral antihistamines.③ Laboratory examination.Among the 273 AD patients,199 had complete blood routine examination,of which 71(35.7%)had elevated eosinophils above nor-mal;193 had complete immunoglobulin E(IgE)examinations,and 134 cases(69.4%)had IgE levels higher than normal.④Daily habits.The majority of people took a warm water bath once a day;62.6%of patients had a habit of using moisturiz-ing cream.Conclusion AD patients in Guangxi have characteristics different from other areas.Individualized diagnosis and treatment plans can be formulated according to clinical features,and strengthening health education is conducive to the long-term management of AD patients.
