Clinical efficacy of laryngeal mask airway placement assisted by disposcope endoscope
Objective To explore the efficacy of laryngeal mask airway placement assisted by disposcope endoscope,so as to provide basis for airway management in clinical anesthesia.Methods A total of 60 patients who underwent general an-esthesia with laryngeal mask insertion at Jieyang People's Hospital from March 2022 to March 2024 were selected.They were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.The observation group were given la-ryngeal mask airway placement assisted by disposcope endoscope,while the control group were given traditional manual la-ryngeal mask airway placement.And then,the total time of successful laryngeal mask insertion(from the laryngeal mask en-tering the oral cavity to the judgment of successful laryngeal mask placement),the first-time success rate of laryngeal mask insertion,peak airway pressure,oropharyngeal leak pressure,and the occurrence of complications due to laryngeal mask in-sertion injuries such as the presence of blood on the mask surface after removal in the recovery room and the incidence of sore throat within 24 hours after surgery were recorded between the two groups.Results Compared with the control group,the total time for successful insertion of laryngeal mask in the observation group was significantly shortened(P<0.001),the suc-cess rate of first-time insertion of laryngeal mask was significantly increased(P<0.05),and there was no statistically signifi-cant difference in the comparison of laryngeal mask models between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the observation group showed a significant decrease in peak airway pressure(P<0.001)and a significant increase in oropharyngeal leak pressure(P<0.001).There was no statistically significant difference in the presence of blood on the mask surface and the incidence of sore throat within 24 hours after surgery between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion La-ryngeal mask airway placement assisted by disposcope endoscope can improve the success rate of first-time insertion,reduce the total time for successful placement,lower peak airway pressure,and increase oropharyngeal leak pressure,which has high safety and is worth promoting.
