Analysis of knowledge about delivery modes and influencing factors of the choice of delivery modes among pregnant women in Qingxiu District of Nanning City in Guangxi
Objective To investigate the knowledge related to delivery modes and influencing factors of delivery method selection among pregnant women in Qingxiu District of Nanning City in Guangxi,so as to provide reasonable health education for pregnant women and promote their rational choice of delivery modes.Methods 366 pregnant women who underwent pre-natal check ups at 4 national comprehensive three A-level hospitals in Qingxiu District of Nanning City from July to December 2019 were selected.A self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the cognitive levels of pregnant women towards differ-ent delivery modes and the influencing factors of their choice of delivery modes.Results There was no statistically signifi-cant difference in the age,monthly income,and education levels of pregnant women with vaginal delivery and those with ce-sarean section(P>0.05).Pregnant women's factors including cesarean section caused significant damage and slow recover-y,cesarean section caused great harm to pregnant women,whether cesarean section would cause postpartum body shape changes,force majeure factors such as cesarean section could avoid sudden situations during natural childbirth and cesarean section could protect the vagina were all independent influencing factors for the choice of delivery modes(P<0.05).The main sources of knowledge about the delivery modes for pregnant women were online platforms(74.86%)and hospital clas-ses(62.02%).90.44%of the pregnant women chose to have a vaginal delivery,and the main factors determining the preg-nant women's choice of delivery were following the advice of doctor(49.45%)and self-determination(43.99%).Conclu-sion Most pregnant women have correct understanding of childbirth knowledge.In the choice of delivery modes,the willing-ness of pregnant women to give birth is often determined by doctors or themselves,especially doctor's advice plays a key role,indicating that most of the pregnant women have good compliance.
