Application effect of the mode of National Metabolic Management Center in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic retinopathy
Objective To investigate the effect of the mode of National Metabolic Management Center (MMC) in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) retinopathy. Methods A total of 80 newly diagnosed T2DM patients who visi-ted the Endocrinology Department of the Second Nanning People's Hospital of Guangxi from June 2020 to April 2022 were se-lected.All patients were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table, with 40 patients in each group. The control group were given high-quality nursing mode, while the observation group were integrated with MMC mode on the basis of control group. And then, the diabetic knowledge test questionnaire ( DKT) score,self-manage-ment effectiveness scale ( C-DMSES) score and diabetic retinopathy ( DR) degree score were compared between the two groups before intervention and at 6,12 and 18 months after intervention. Results After intervention, the DKT scores and C-DMSES scores of both groups increased compared to those before intervention;at 6,12,and 18 months after intervention, the DKT score and C-DMSES score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.001).There was no statistically significant difference in the DR scores between the two groups after intervention ( P>0.05);after 18 months of intervention, the DR score in the observation group decreased slightly, but difference was not statistically signifi-cant ( P>0.05),while the DR score in the control group was higher than those before intervention and 6 months after inter-vention (P<0.05).Conclusion MMC model management can improve the knowledge levels of diabetes prevention and treatment of newly diagnosed T2DM patients, and improve the efficiency of self-management of diabetes and DR,so as to ef-fectively control diabetes, and prevent and control the progression of DR.
