Identification of non O1/non O139 vibrio cholerae infection in the blood of the first patient with hepatitis B cirrhosis in Baise,Guangxi
Objective To identify a pathogen isolated from the blood of a patient with hepatitis B cirrhosis. Methods Standard methods for identifying vibrio cholerae were used to analyze the culture characteristics, morphological characteris-tics,biochemical identification, protein mass spectrometry analysis, serological identification, and fluorescence PCR of the pathogen. Results According to the culture characteristics, morphological characteristics, biochemical identification,pro-tein mass spectrometry analysis ( characteristic spectrum peaks were collected at 4279 m/z,4367 m/z,5123 m/z,6165 m/z,6277 m/z,6453 m/z and 7160 m/z),serological identification and fluorescent PCR (vibrio cholerae O1 and O139 genes were negative) of strains isolated from the blood of the patient with hepatitis B cirrhosis, they were identified as non O1/non O139 vibrio cholerae. Conclusion Vibrio cholerae non O1/non O139 is isolated from the blood of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis in Baise,Guangxi for the first time.
