Objective To analyze the characteristics of surveillance results of influenza like cases(ILI)in children in Hechi City from 2019 to 2023,so as to provide relevant reference for infectious disease prevention and control for such spe-cial populations. Methods Relevant data on ILI children in Hechi City from 2019 to 2023 were collected, and descriptive analysis on its epidemiological characteristics was conducted. Results From 2019 to 2023,a total of 230 875 children were treated at the People's Hospital of Hechi City, including 14 853 cases of childhood ILI,with an ILI%of 6.43%.There were 3746 monitored specimens, and influenza positive rate was 18.10%(678/3746).The seasonal peak was from February to May and from November to January of the following year. The epidemic strains from 2019 to 2020 were all seasonal H3.Prevalent strain in 2021 was Victoria, prevalent strain in 2022 was seasonal H3,and prevalent strain in 2023 was H1N1.Victoria subtype influenza virus was detected in all 5 years, and difference in virus positive rates among different years was statistically significant(x2=188.89,P<0.05).The highest proportion of ILI was found in children aged 0-3,accounting for 31.98%,the influenza positive rate in children aged>6-9 was the highest, accounting for 28.61%,and there was sta-tistically significant difference in influenza positive rates among different age groups(x2=267.63,P<0.05).Conclusion From 2019 to 2023,the ILI and ILI%of children in Hechi City show an overall upward trend with seasonal characteristics. The epidemic strains in the 5 years are basically different, and key population is school-age children aged 6-9.It is recom-mended to closely monitor the health of this special population, encourage them to get vaccinated, and strengthen the monito-ring,management,and prevention and control publicity of such infectious diseases.
