Analysis of the willingness and influencing factors of childbearing age population to have three children in border ethnic minority areas of Guangxi
Objective To investigate the willingness of the childbearing age population to have three children in ethnic minority areas in the border of Guangxi,and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 1728 people of childbearing age who live in Baise City and Hechi City(the border minority areas of Guangxi)were selected as research subjects.Data on gender,age,ethnicity,place of residence,education level,marital status,sta-ble occupation,monthly family income,monthly child expenditure ratio,housing status,current child situation,primary child caregiver,and willingness to have three children of the research subjects were collected.Factors affecting the willing-ness of childbearing age population to have three children were explored through statistical analysis.Results 82.41%of the childbearing age population expressed unwillingness to have three children.Statistical analysis showed that age,monthly fam-ily income,marital status,education level,and gender of children were main factors affecting the willingness of childbearing age population to have three children.Conclusion The willingness to have three children among the childbearing age popu-lation in ethnic minority areas in the border of Guangxi is generally low.It is suggested that relevant departments should com-prehensively consider various factors such as personal values,family health,and social security when formulating and imple-menting the three child policy,in order to ensure the comprehensive and effective implementation of this policy.
