3D Geological Modeling and Its Geological Significance of the Sand-type Uranium Deposit in Binchang Area,Southern Ordos Basin
The three-dimensional spatial distribution of geological bodies and their relationships can be effectively portrayed through 3D digital geological models. These models enable the excavation of deep and peripheral hidden ore bodies, facilitating deep prospecting and prediction.Upon gathering and processing relevant data on basic geology and uranium deposits in the Binchang area, the SKUA-GOCAD three-dimensional platform was utilized to develop topographic, geomorphic, borehole, stratum, fault structure, sand body, river center line, and ore-bearing target layer models in the lower Zhiluo formation.Additionally,oxidation-reduction transition zone and ore body models were created. The three-dimensional visualization of ore-forming elements and their relationships is achieved through the establishment of a three-dimensional geological model. This model, combined with the regional geological background of sandstone type uranium deposits'the metallogenic regularity, was analyzed. It is believed that Tingkouzhen Tandian in Binxian County possesses more favorable uranium ore-forming conditions and is thereby considered an essential uranium prospecting area in the southern region of the Ordos Basin. The research findings provided novel evidence for further, uranium exploration, and deep drilling layouts within the study area, thereby holding significant prospecting guiding implications.
