Experimental Research of Soil Optically Stimulated Luminescence Method at Telaaobao Uranium Occurrence
In order to explore the effectiveness of novel technical method for uranium exploration,an experimental research on soil Optically Stimulated Luminescence(OSL)method was conducted at typical sandstone type uranium occurrence in Telaaobao. The application effect was discussed on the basis of measurement data processing and the prior information of geology, drilling and geophysical exploration. The research showed that the original equivalent dose data was not in normal distribution, suggesting that the gradual elimination method in calculating the lower limit of anomalies in geochemistry exploration is not suitable. The data processed using logarithms conforms to an approximately normal distribution, which can be used to estimate the lower limit of anomalies for regional equivalent dose data.Soil OSL method has certain advantages in extracting anomalies from buried uranium orebody due to its radioactive accumulation quality. There are soil OSL equivalent dose anomalies above and near the uranium occurrence, indicating that this method has good prospects in the field survey of sandstone type uranium exploration. The solution to anomaly identification was discussed, sampling method of different depths for differentiation was proposed to reduce the identification of non mineral induced anomalies.
