Metallogenic Condition and Prospecting Direction of Sandstone-type Uranium Deposit in Pliocene of Bachu Uplift,Tarim Basin
To clarify the direction of prospecting for sandstone type uranium deposits in Pliocene of the Bachu uplift, the paper analyzed the metallogenic conditions of sandstone type uranium deposit by studying structures, faults, lithology and geochemistry, sedimentary facies and sand bodies, external uranium sources, stratigraphic uranium content, and deep uranium sources. It was pointed out that the Upper Neogene in Bachu uplift developed a gentle structural slope with short time post oxidation, which is not conducive to the formation of large interlayer oxidation zone.Pliocene of Bachu uplift is a red variegated layer with low uranium content, and its external uranium source is not good.Paleozoic rocks of are good uranium sources.Geologic conditions for exudation type uranium mineralization are better than those of Infiltration type. Therefore, exudation type uranium deposits are believed the main prospecting type for the next uranium exploration in the Pliocene of Bachu uplift.
