The Application of Comprehensive Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Method in the Prospecting and Prediction of"Intersection"Type Uranium Deposit in Hesi Area
The"intersection"type uranium deposit is one of the most important types of uranium mineralization in South China.Searching"intersection"type uranium deposit is of great significance for increasing uranium reserves and production in South China. In order to quickly evaluate the shallow and deep uranium metallogenic potentials of the"intersection"type uranium deposits, and to choose the best favorable uranium metallogenic area,a combined measurements methods of ground gamma spectroscopy, soil radon measurement and partial extracted geochemical exploration were selected.Through the geophysical and geochemical works,it showed that the ground gamma spectrum measurement directly obtained the uranium content in the shallow rocks, which can effectively explore the information of superficial abnormal mineralization;the soil radon measurement and the partial extracted geochemical method can roughly identify the deep uranium mineralization information and predict the favorable areas for deep uranium mineralization. The combination of the three measurement methods can effectively predict the shallow and deep information of the"intersection"type uranium deposit, which has been confirmed by the method validity test of known"intersection"type uranium deposits.By using the combined measurement methods above, three favorable uranium metallogenic sectors were successfully predicted in Hesi area, among which the Um-1 area was verified by the later exploration trench project, and favourable uranium mineralization information was found, and the fairly prospecting and prediction effect was obtained.
