Effects of Nitrogen and Potassium Fertilizer Reduction on Potato Growth and Yield in Sandy Area
Using field experiments, the study explores the effects of reduced application of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers on potato growth and yield,in order to provide a theoretical basis for scientific fertilization in green and ef-ficient cultivation of potato in northern sandy areas of Yulin. It investigates the effects of reduced application of N and K fertilizers on potato growth and yield.Five treatments including N95 K100(N95%,K100%),N90 K100(N90%,K100%),N100 K95(N100%,K95%),N100 K90(N100%,K90%),and N100 K100(N100%,K100%)were conduc-ted.The results showed that the plant height, leaf SPAD value, leaf net photosynthetic rate(Pn),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci)and stomatal conductance(Gs)of N100 K100 were the highest during the whole growth period of potato.During the seedling stage to tuber formation phase, the plant height, leaf SPAD value,Pn and Ci value of the two nitrogen-reducing treatments(N95 K100 and N90 K100)were lower than those of the two potassium-reducing treatments(N100 K90 and N100 K90).During the tuber expansion to maturity period, the stem diameter, leaf SPAD value,Pn,Ci and Gs value of the two treatments were higher than those of the two treatments, and the above inde-xes of N90 K100 treatment were significantly higher than those of the two treatments(P<0.05).The potato yield of N90 K100 was slightly lower than that of N100 K100,but was 8.01%~18.53%significantly higher than that of other treatments(P<0.05).The commercial potato rate of N90k100 was 5.99%~17.58%significantly higher than that of other treatments(P<0.05).Therefore,N90 K100 treatment can reduce the input of nitrogen fertilizer, and help to stabilize the yield of potato and improve the commercial potato rate.
