Rise and Development of Revolutionary Armed Forces in Hengshan Area of Northern Shaanxi from 1925 to 1936
Hengshan is an area where Marxism spread earlier in Northern Shaanxi,and revolutionary activities were more active.The guerrilla war in Hengshan area under the leadership of the Party rose rapidly after the establish-ment of the local Soviet regime.The revolutionary situation and revolutionary forces in the region developed and ex-panded after the Red Army led by Liu Zhidan attacked Hengshan twice and successfully crushed the enemy's encir-clement and suppression.The revolutionary armed struggle in Hengshan area has made important contributions to the consolidation of the Soviet regime in Northern Shaanxi and the victory of the Red Army's Long March in North-ern Shaanxi.
