In the course of founding the Party,Chen Duxiu patronized the translation and publication of Marxism works in various ways,including:building a red media front composed of newspapers and magazines such as New Youth,Labor Circle and Communist Party,which provided an ideal publishing platform for the translation of Marxist works;creating Socialist Research Society,New Youth Society,and People's Publishing House for the translation and publication of Communist Manifesto and other Marxism classical works;promoting the dissemination of Marxism in the form of adaptive translation by publishing commentary articles such as Political Talk,or by de-livering speeches and debates such as Socialist Criticism.Chen Duxiu's patronage role in the red translation and publishing shaped the Marxist identity of early Chinese advanced elements,inaugurated the Sinicization of Marx-ism,and created a good public opinion atmosphere and laid a solid theoretical foundation for the founding of the Communist Party of China and the early revolutionary activities of the Party.
