Ethnic Groups and Cultural Changes in Northern Shaanxi during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty
During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,there existed Baidi,Rong people,and Linhu in Northern Shaanxi,each with distinct ethnic groups,geographical distributions,and cultural characteristics.After the Spring and Au-tumn Period,Jin,Wei,Zhao,Qin,and Yiqu began to be active in Northern Shaanxi,engaging in fierce competi-tions and confrontations.These activities partly promoted the integration of ethnic groups and cultures in Northern Shaanxi.In the late Warring States period,Qin conquered Northern Shaanxi and built the Great Wall,integrating different ethnic groups and cultures in Northern Shaanxi into the Qin Empire.Since then,most of Northern Shaanxi has officially become part of the territory of the Huaxia civilization.
