Proverbs in Northern Shaanxi dialect are the wisdom crystallization of people's production and life for thousands of years,which vividly reproduces the open-minded nature and unique sense of humor of the people liv-ing in the Loess Plateau,and expresses the creativity of language art of local people.From the perspective of dia-lectology,this paper investigates and analyzes proverbs in Northern Shaanxi dialect from four aspects:phonetics,vocabulary,grammar and rhetoric,and reveals its language features.
