Taking canonical strategy of translating Jules Verne's science fiction into Chinese as the core of this study,it can be explored how the social shaping power of knowledge production is connected with the global generation of Chinese science fiction.The unique knowledge production mode,which consists of the dynamic authoritative and explanatory discourse,the complementary"newspaper","book"and"journal",integrated cultural consciousness and commercial publishing,and the consistent translation and creation,integrates the coordination of various partic-ipating forces in knowledge production in the complex social field,and makes joint efforts to shape Verne's French science fiction into a canon of the translated Chinese literature.This shows that the Chinese canonization of Verne's science fiction is actually a systematic process of knowledge production in translation and publication,also dis-plays the developing process of Chinese science fiction.
