Research Progress on the Conservation and Utilization of Black Goat Germplasm Resources in China
Black goat is an excellent breed of goat in China,generally of medium size with a rectangular body shape.It has strong disease resistance,good feeding performance,good meat production characteristics,and deli-cious meat.This paper summarizes the research progress on the growth traits and reproductive performance of black goats in China,fully understanding the main traits of black goats,aiming to deeply explore the excellent local black goat varieties,protect the germplasm resources,and provide more ideas and directions for future research and de-velopment and utilization.
