Research Progress on Ecological Function of Coarse Woody Debris(CWD)and its Impact on Forest Regeneration
CWD is a particularly important rooting medium,which can be used as a growth substrate for seed germination,seedling growth and development,and can play a role in protecting seedlings.CWD and gap formed by lodging trees in the forest play an important role in seed spread.In this paper,based on the basic function research of CWD,the recent research progress on the function of CWD in forest plant population regeneration is summarized.At the same time,it is pointed out that the key direction of CWD research in the future should be to strengthen the mechanism of CWD ecological function and renew the sustainability of seedling survival,and to carry out systematic research on CWD function from multiple dimensions.
