Food and Medication Substances along Silk Road:Viewing the Pluralistic Integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Spreading History of"Suo Suo Grape"During the Ming and Qing Dynasties
Suo Suo Grape is a special variety of grape,which was gradually introduced into the mainland from the western region during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.It can be edible and medicinal.This paper sorts out the relevant literature of Suo Suo Grape,examines the origin of its name and its place of origin in the western region,as well as its history of introduction to the Central Plains,explores the daily life of people from all walks of life in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the history of its medicinal use,and studies the contribution of Suo Suo Grape to Chinese civilization.This paper also combines the multidisciplinary perspectives of medicine,history,ethnology,sociology and other disciplines to study the spread history of Suo Suo Grape,discusses the role of Suo Suo Grape as a medium in the process of exchanges and blending of various ethnic groups in China,researches the development history of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Pluralistic integration,seeking a new perspective for scholars to study the medicine spread on the Silk Road.
