The Value of CT and MRI in Diagnosing T and N Stages of Rectal Cancer
Objective To compare the value of CT and MRI in diagnosing T stage and N stage of rectal cancer. Methods With the retrospective analysis of clinical data of 80 rectal cancer patients admitted to the hospital from January 2016 to December 2022,all patients underwent CT and MRI examinations before surgery, and the coincidence rate between CT and MRI diagnosis of T stage and N stage of rectal cancer and surgical pathological results was analyzed. Results The surgical and pathological results showed that among the 80 patients, there were 16,36,19,and 9 cases in T1,T2,T3,and T4 phases, and 41,28,and 11 cases in NO,N1,and N2 phases, respectively. The coincidence rate between MRI diagnosis of T stage and N stage of rectal cancer and surgical pathological results was higher than that of CT,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion CT and MRI have certain diagnostic value for T and N staging of rectal cancer, and the diagnostic results of MRI have a higher coincidence rate with surgical and pathological results.
