Application Effect of Wrist-Ankle Needle in the Treatment of Patients with Discogenic Low Back Pain by Nucleus Pulposus Removal with Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy
Objective The application effect of wrist-ankle needle in treatment of patients with discogenic low back pain by nucleus pulposus removal with unilateral biportal endoscopy was explored. Methods With the selection of sixty patients with discogenic low back pain who underwent unilateral biportal endoscopic nucleus pulposus removal in the hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 as the study subjects, they were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 30 patients in each group. With the control group received postoperative treatment with celecoxib capsules, and the experimental group received postoperative treatment with wrist-ankle needle for 4 weeks, the total effective rate, pain level[evaluated using visual analogue scale(VAS)],and lumbar function[evaluated using the Japanese orthopaedicassociation scores(JOA)and the Modified Oswestry disability index(ODI)]were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate and JOA score of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, the pain level was lighter than that of the control group, and the ODI score was lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The wrist-ankle needle can alleviate postoperative pain in patients with discogenic low back pain treated with unilateral biportal endoscopic nucleus pulposus removal and promote lumbar functional recovery.
