The Application of Optimizing Instrument Cleaning Process in Reducing the Wear and Tear of Ophthalmic Surgical Instruments
Objective To explore the application of optimizing the instrument cleaning process in reducing the wear and tear of ophthalmic surgical instruments, and to provide a basis for improving the quality of instrument cleaning and ensuring the safety of clinical equipment. Methods With the selection of 300 ophthalmic surgical instruments used in hospitals from July 2019 to August 2020 as the research subjects, they were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 150 pieces in each group. With the use of traditional cleaning methods in the control group, and use of optimized the instrument cleaning process in the observation group, the qualified rate of instrument cleaning(evaluated by visual inspection and microscopic examination respectively),instrument loss rate, instrument flexibility, and occult blood test results were compared between the two groups. Results The results of visual inspection showed that there was no statistical significance in the qualified rate of instrument cleaning between the two groups(P>0.05);The results of microscopic examination showed that the qualified rate of instrument cleaning in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The instrument loss rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),the instrument flexibility was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the positive rate of occult blood test was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Optimizing the cleaning process of ophthalmic surgical instruments can improve cleaning quality, increase the qualification rate of instrument cleaning, reduce instrument wear, and extend the service life of instruments.
