The Effect of Airflow Temperature on the Comfort of Patients with Respiratory Support During Nasal Nasal High Flow Cannula Therapy
Objective To explore the effect of airflow temperature on the comfort of respiratory support patients undergoing nasal high-flow cannula(HFNC)therapy. Methods With the selection of 120 patients received HFNC in hospitals from February 2022 to May 2023,according to random number table method, patients were divided into low-flow low-temperature group,high-flow low-temperature group,low-flow high-temperature group and high-flow high-temperature group, with 30 cases in each group. After 60 minutes of ventilation according to the corresponding parameters, the comfort score, vital sign parameters, and oxygenation index of each group were compared. Results The comfort level of low temperature group(low-flow low-temperature group and high-flow low-temperature group)was higher than that of high temperature group(low-flow high-temperature group and high-flow high-temperature group),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and oxygenation index among 4 groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Lower airflow temperature can improve patient comfort without affecting the efficacy of HFNC.
