The Clinical Study on Pain after UBE Surgery for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Using Wrist-Ankle Acupuncture
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of wrist-ankle acupuncture on pain after unilateral biportal endoscopic technique(UBE)for lumbar spinal stenosis(LSS).Methods With the selection of sixty LSS patients underwent UBE surgery in hospitals from February 2022 to January 2023,they were divided into the control group(30 cases)and the observation group(30 cases),by using the random number table method; The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received wrist-ankle acupuncture intervention based on routine nursing;Postoperative pain level[Visual analogue scale(VAS)],lumbar function[Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)]and quality of life[GQOL-74]were compared between the two groups. Results After 7 days of intervention, the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after 3 months of follow-up,the ODI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the GQOL-74 scores in all dimensions were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion After UBE surgery,wrist-ankle acupuncture intervention can alleviate pain, improve lumbar function, and enhance quality of life for LSS patients.
