Objective To explore the impact of information technology traceability management mode on the quality of clinical endoscopic instrument cleaning. Methods A total of 743 laparoscopic instruments and 30 related operators who needed to be cleaned in hospitals from October 2019 to March 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(384 instruments,15 operators)and an observation group(359 instruments,15 operators)used a random number table method. The control group received routine management intervention, while the observation group received an information-based traceability management model intervention based on the control group. The mastery of theoretical knowledge and operating standards of laparoscopic instrument cleaning by the two groups of cleaning personnel were compared,as well as the qualification rate, damage rate, sterilization effect, packaging failure rate, and medical staff satisfaction with the use of the two groups of laparoscopic instrument cleaning. Results Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the mastery of theoretical knowledge and operational norms between the two groups of cleaning personnel; After intervention, the scores of theoretical knowledge mastery and operational norms in both groups were higher than before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The qualified rate and negative rate of cleaning in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the rates of cleaning damage and packaging failure were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction score of medical staff towards the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The information-based traceability management mode can improve the theoretical knowledge level of laparoscopic instrument cleaning for operators, standardize the operation situation, thereby improving the cleaning qualification rate, packaging qualification rate, disinfection and sterilization effect, reducing instrument damage, and improving the satisfaction of clinical medical staff with the use of instruments.
