Application of Ultrasound Therapy Combined with Suspension Exercise Therapy in Patients with Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Objective To explore the application of ultrasound therapy combined with suspension exercise therapy(SET)in patients with myofascial pain syndrome(MPS).Methods A total of 76 MPS patients who visited the hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 38 cases in each group.The control group received SET treatment,while the experimental group received ultrasound therapy in addition to the control group.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The changes in lower back pain[Visual Analog Scale(VAS)and McGill Pain Questionnaire(MPQ)],lumbar spine function[Japanese Orthopedic Association Score(JOA)],lumbar joint range of motion(ROM),and electromyography(AEMG)and frequency domain analysis value(MPF)of the lower back core muscle group before and after treatment between two groups,and evaluate clinical efficacy were compared.Results After treatment,the VAS and MPQ scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the JOA score was higher than before treatment(P<0.05).In addition,the VAS and MPQ scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group,and the JOA score was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05);After treatment,the ROM of lumbar flexion and extension in both groups was higher than before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05),and the experimental group was higher than the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment,the EMG and MPF of the two groups were higher than before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05),and the experimental group was higher than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment,the total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of ultrasound therapy and SET has a definite therapeutic effect on MPS,which can alleviate lower back pain,improve muscle tone of lower back muscles,enhance lumbar spine function and lumbar joint ROM.
