Chunked Memory Transfer Method Applied to Capsule Robot
The storage space of the controller plays a decisive role in the image data transmission of the capsule robot. The size of random access memory(RAM)storage space is related to the hardware volume of the capsule robot system.Limited by the size of capsule robot system, the collection and transmission of high-capacity image data cannot be completed in small memory RAM.In this study,a chunked memory transmission method was proposed.Firstly, the optical lens OV5640 was used to capture image data.In addition, the RAM memory was managed in chunks, and image data was stored in segmented memory blocks. Finally, the data in the memory block was cyclically sent through the wireless communication module to achieve the function of collecting, storing, and sending at the same time, achieving the goal of using small memory to collect and send large capacity images. The construction of a capsule robot system simulation platform was used to verify data transmission experiments. The experimental results showed that when the distance was 2 meters, the images transmitted by the capsule robot system simulation platform could be received by the host computer system. The method proposed in this study can achieve the collection and transmission of large capacity images in limited RAM memory, improving the efficiency of image capture in capsule robot systems.
