The Value of MRI Enhanced Scanning Combined with Diffusion Weighted Imaging in the Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Ovarian Serous Cystadenoma
Objective To analyze the value of MRI enhanced scanning combined with diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma. Methods With the selection of 76 patients with ovarian serous cystadenoma diagnosed through surgical or puncture pathological examination admitted to the hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 as the study subjects,MRI enhanced scanning and DWI examination were performed on all patients. With the use of surgical or puncture pathological examination results as the gold standard, and comparison of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)between benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma,ROC was used to analyze the differential diagnostic value of DWI for benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma, and the optimal ADC threshold was selected to further analyze the value of MRI enhanced scanning alone and in combination with DWI for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma. Results 76 patients were diagnosed as malignant in 25 cases and benign in 51 cases through surgical or puncture pathological examination. The ADC of malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma was lower than that of benign ovarian serous cystadenoma, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The ROC analysis results showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of the ADC parameter in DWI for predicting malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma was 0.873,with an optimal threshold of 1.240.At this time, the diagnostic sensitivity was 86.3%and the specificity was 80.0%.The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of MRI enhanced scanning combined with DWI in distinguishing benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma were higher than those of MRI enhanced scanning alone, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of MRI enhanced scanning combined with DWI in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant ovarian serous cystadenoma are higher than those of MRI enhanced scanning alone.
