The Application of Multiparameter MRI in the Differential Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer and Prostatitis
Objective To explore the application value of multiparameter MRI(Mp-MRI)in the differential diagnosis of prostate cancer and prostatitis. Methods With the selection of 78 patients with prostate lesions admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 as the study subjects, all patients underwent Mp-MRI examination. With pathological examination results as the gold standard, the differential diagnostic value of Mp-MRI for prostate cancer and prostatitis,as well as the Mp-MRI parameters and imaging features of the prostate cancer group and prostatitis group were analyzed. Results The pathological examination results showed that among the 78 patients, there were 50 cases of prostate cancer and 28 cases of prostatitis. With the pathological examination results as the gold standard, the diagnostic sensitivity of Mp-MRI was 96.00%,and the specificity was 92.86%.Mp-MRI imaging showed that the apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)of the prostate cancer group was lower than that of the prostatitis group, and the enhancement peak in the signal intensity-time curve(ST-T)parameter was higher than that of the prostatitis group, and the time to reach the enhancement peak was shorter than that of the prostatitis group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);Prostate cancer lesions were mostly unilateral, while prostate inflammation lesions were mostly bilateral, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the detection rate of focal non-nodular low signal between the two groups(P>0.05);The detection rates of focal nodular low signal and space occupying signal in prostate cancer group were higher than those in prostatitis group, and the detection rates of diffuse low signal and peripheral swelling on the affected side were lower than those in prostatitis group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Mp-MRI has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of prostate cancer and prostatitis, which can be differentiated by different parameters and imaging characteristics.
