A Positioning Method for Mobile Medical Equipment in Operating Room Based on Virtual Fence Set by Ultra Wide Band Base Station
In response to the difficult problem of real-time positioning and control of a large number of mobile medical devices due to the cross-use in the operating rooms of hospitals,a real-time positioning method based on UWB technology with high timeliness, ease of deployment, and relatively high positioning accuracy was proposed,in this study. This method included topology layout of ultra wide band(UWB)base stations, application of improved time of flight(TOF)bilateral ranging positioning method in operating room corridors and equipment rooms, and setting up virtual fences at the entrance of the operating room to determine whether the equipment entered. After testing, this method can significantly reduce the number of UWB base station arrangements, with centimeter level positioning accuracy and high recognition rate, which can replace the traditional manual positioning and control method of mobile medical equipment in the operating room.
