The Application Value of Disposable Root Canal Therapy in Patients with Cryptorchidism Pulpitis
Objective To explore the application value of disposable root canal therapy in patients with cryptorchidism pulpitis. Methods With the selection of 90 patients with cryptorchidism pulpitis admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 as the research subjects, they were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group using a random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received conventional root canal treatment, while the experimental group received disposable root canal treatment. The total effective rate of treatment, the incidence of pain at 1 week after surgery, the oral health status[assessed by the oral health impact profile-14(OHIP-14)]before surgery,1 week after surgery, and 6 months after surgery, the dental function(including masticatory efficiency, bite force)before surgery and 1 week after surgery, and the incidence of complications within 6 months after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group; In the first week after surgery, the incidence of pain was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before surgery, there were no statistically significant differences in OHIP-14 scores, chewing efficiency, and bite force between the two groups(P>0.05);At one week after surgery, the OHIP-14 scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, and the chewing efficiency and bite force were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);At 6 months after surgery, the OHIP-14 scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications within 6 months after surgery in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Disposable root canal therapy can improve the overall treatment efficiency of patients with cryptorchidism pulpitis, alleviate postoperative pain, improve oral health and dental function, with a lower incidence of complications.
