Combining Ability Analysis on the Yield Trait of Doubled Haploid Maize
Genetic variation of yield traits of doubled haploid maize hybrid which was derived from Doubled hap-loid (DH) lines cross was studied using quantitative genetic method. The result indicated that the offspring type depended on the basic material of induced DH lines. The yield related traits such as ear length, ear width, kernels per row and 100-kernel weight accorded with the additive gene effect genetic regularity. The general combining ability of inbred lines would be improved using DH breeding technology and these improved inbred lines would be used to cross excellent hybrid combinations.
