Screening and Comprehensive Evaluation of Heat-tolerance of Maize Hybrids in Flowering Stage
In order to select the heat resistance evaluation index, and evaluate the heat resistance of maize hybrid in flowering stage, the field experiment was carried out with 30 maize hybrids as test materials that were widely grown in Huang-Huai-Hai area. And the effects of high temperature treatment on the morphology, physiology and yield traits of different genotypes maize were studied. The results showed that high temperature stress block the ear differentiation of maize which caused the plant growth centre transfer showing up the plant height increased and anthesis-silking interval(ASl) prolonged significantly.Under heat stress, plant ear-leaf has become thinner and weight dropped significantly, the relative chlorophyll content and net photosynthetic rate decreased, while soaking liquid conductivity increased significantly.High temperature stress result in the row number per ear, grain number per row and 100-grain weight decreased, and grain yield reduced significantly.According to the various different genotype maize properties of heat resistant coefficient of correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis, grain yield,100-grain weight, ear length, ear diameter and setting rate, could be used as the major index of high temperature resistance of maize hybrid during flowering.Clustering analysis using comprehensive evaluation value as evaluation parameters.
