PCR MALDI-TOF MS Detection Methods for Nine Exogenous Genes in Transgenic Maize
In response to the current lack of high-throughput rapid screening methods for transgenic maize,this study used PCR MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry to realize one-time rapid screening test for nine common exog-enous genes pCaMV35S,pFMV35S,tNOS,NPTII,BAR,PAT,CP4-EPSPS,CTP2-CP4-EPSPS,CryIA(b)and the endogenous gene(ZEIN)of transgenic maize.The detection limit for the target genes was as low as 20 copies per re-action.The method demonstrated high specificity,stability,sensitivity and accuracy,it can be used for qualitative detection of transgenic components in imported maize and its products.It may improve the speed of commodity cus-toms clearance,and provide reference for establishing similar detection methods for other genes and events of trans-genic crops.
