Effect of Nitrogen Application on Yield and Nitrogen Uptake in Maize-Peanut Strip Intercropping System
In order to optimize nitrogen fertilizer management in the intercropping system of maize and peanut, two consecutive field experiments were conducted in Jinan City,Shandong Province from 2019 to 2020.The effects of different nitrogen application rates(N0:0;N1:127.5 kg/ha;N2:200 kg/ha;N3:272.5 kg/ha)on maize yield,nitro-gen absorption and utilization, and intercropping border row effects were studied. The results showed that the nitro-gen fertilizer partial productivity of the intercropping system was the highest under NO conditions, with the highest nitrogen fertilizer agronomic efficiency, aboveground nitrogen uptake, and yield under N2 intercropping conditions. As the nitrogen application rate increases, the yield advantage of intercropping edge row maize gradually decreases.Without nitrogen application, the contribution rate of border row is the highest, ranging from 74.23%to 74.78%.
