Adaptability Evaluation of Different Maize Varieties in Saline-alkali Land of the Ningxia Yellow River Irrigation Area
Twenty-one maize varieties planted in the Yellow River irrigation area of Ningxia were used as mate-rials,and the adaptability of germplasm resources was evaluated by combining indoor salt tolerance identification at germination stage and field in-situ identification. The results showed that different concentrations of NaCl solution could inhibit the germination of maize seeds, and the relative germ weight was the most sensitive to salt stress.Sev-en indexes could be selected for comprehensive evaluation by principal component analysis.According to the weighted membership function value,21 maize varieties were divided into 4 groups, including 3 strong salt-tolerant varieties,10 medium salt-tolerant varieties,7 weak salt-tolerant varieties and 1 salt-sensitive variety. The results showed that Heyu157,Yinyu238 and DK815 were more suitable for planting in the Yellow River irrigation area of Ningxia.
