Association Analysis of Maize Grain Dehydration Related Traits Based on Zm00001d025794 Gene
With the advancement of full-process mechanization technology, the grain dehydration rate during the late maturity stage has become an important factor affecting maize production. It is necessary to carry out genetic analysis of grain dehydration rate, and to explore the favorable and usable alleles for molecular marker assisted se-lection breeding.Candidate gene association analysis is one of the effective methods for mining favorable alleles. In this study,91 maize inbred lines were used to conduct candidate gene association analysis for the target gene Zm00001d025794,which were associated with grain dehydration rate by genome wide association analysis.Sixteen polymorphic sites significantly related to grain dehydration rate.Further combining the transcriptome data at differ-ent stages of grain development in materials with different dehydration rates,it was found that the expression of this gene decreased gradually at the late stage of grain development and decreased faster with fast dehydration. Finally, three loci significantly(P<0.05)associated with grain dehydration rate(KDR6342)during 42DAP-63DAP's period were selected for haplotype analysis, and the optimal haplotype was obtained.
