Gastric cancer,as one of the common upper gastrointestinal malignancies, often misses the optimal treat-ment window as patients tend to progress to advanced local stages or systemic metastasis at the time of initial diagnosis due to a lack of specific symptoms in the early stage.During the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, the tumor acts not only as an uncontrollable cell proliferation disease but also as a disorder resulting from a disturbed microenviron-ment.A series of studies have revealed that the tumor microenvironment plays a significant role in the initiation,progres-sion,and metastasis of the tumor. This article provides a review of the recent research advancements in the interaction mechanisms between gastric cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment signaling.
