Comparison of the Application of AERMOD and CMAQ Models in the Prediction of Atmospheric Particle Concentration in the Environmental Impact Assessment of Park Planning
Both AERMOD model and CMAQ model can predict the concentration of atmospheric particulates.The AERMOD model mainly predicts point sources and small area sources as well as multiple pollution sources in the area by setting a matrix.The CMAQ model is suitable for larger scale spatial simulation.For small industrial parks,both models can achieve the prediction goal.Taking Haikou Chemical Industry Park in Kunming City as an example,these two models were adopted to predict the concentration distribution of particulate matter(PM10)to compare and analyze the results,and identify their respective advantages and characteristics to provide more expanded ideas for atmospheric simulation of environmental impact assessment in park planning.
