Evaluation of the Natural Suitability of Human Settlements in the Urban Agglomeration of Central-South Liaoning Province Based on Grid Data
This paper took the Urban Agglomeration in Central-South Liaoning as the research target based on 1 km× 1 km raster data, and established a comprehensive evaluation model of natural suitability of human settlement on the basis of the degree of terrain undulation, vegetation, hydrology, temperature and humidity index, and carried out a comprehensive evaluation of natural suitability of the human settlement and a reasonable zoning. The results showed that the natural suitability of the human settlement in the Urban Agglomeration in Central-South Liaoning was less restricted by topographic conditions, but more restricted by hydrological, vegetative and climatic conditions. The natural suitability index of human settlement in the Urban Agglomeration in Central-South Liaoning ranged from 19.03 to 84.15,with an overall spatial trend of high in the west and low in the east.Moderately suitable areas had the widest distribution.Highly suitable areas and unsuitable areas had the smallest area.Sixty-four point forty-eight percentage of the population of the Urban Agglomeration in Central-South Liaoning was distributed in the moderately and highly suitable areas.
