Effects of Environmental Pollutant TCDD on Skin Aging
2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD)is a kind of representative environmental pollutant, which has certain toxic effects on the skin. This study explored the potential effects of TCDD on human skin aging. The potential toxicological targets of TCDD were predicted by Swiss Target Prediction database. The related targets of human skin aging were collected based on OMIM database and GeneCardsdatabase, moreover the toxicological targets of TCDD affecting human skin aging were analyzed by R software. For the above targets, protein interaction analysis was performed by STRING,and GO and KEGG were analyzed by Metascape database. The results illustrated that 81 toxicological targets related to TCDD and skin aging were obtained, and the core toxicological targets were mainly MMP-1,MMP-9 and EGFR,etc. The toxicological pathway involved neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, calcium signaling pathway and IL-17 inflammatory signaling pathway. Therefore, environmental pollutant TCDD was harmful to human skin, which may accelerate skin aging by regulating multi-target and multi-pathway.
