Assessment of the Effectiveness of Protection based on Remote Sensing in the Sanyue Provincial Nature Reserve in Zhaoqing,Guangdong Province
Taking the Sanyue Provincial Nature Reserve in Zhaoqing as the study area, remote sensing technology was used to calculate the ecosystem quality index(EQI)of the study area in 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020,then the protection effectiveness of the study area in the past 20 years was analyzed by evaluating the spatial-temporal dynamic changes of EQI at both the zoning and pixel scales. The study found that remote sensing technology could conveniently monitor the ecosystem quality of nature reserves in a scientific, dynamic, and quantitative manner, making it an important technical means for assessing the effectiveness of nature reserve protection. From the zoning scale, the ecological environment quality of the core area was the highest, followed by that of the buffer zone, and that of the experimental zone was the worst. In the past 20 years, the ecological environment quality of each functional zone in the study area has been continuously improving. From the pixel scale,in the past 20 years,99.36%of the area in the study area has shown an improvement trend in ecological environment quality, while only 0.64%of the area has shown a deterioration trend. The deterioration mainly occurred in the experimental zone. The deterioration of ecological environment is mainly caused by factors such as decreases in forest quality and changes from forest to orchards or ponding water surfaces.
