Monitoring of the River Channel Evolution and Ecological Zoning in Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve
Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve plays an important role in protecting biodiversity, maintaining ecological balance and promoting sustainable development. Its internal channel changes can affect the stability of the ecosystem in the reserve.Taking wetland ecological protection and restoration as the starting point, dynamic monitoring of river channel changes in the study area was conducted based on Landsat satellite image data.By examining the dynamic changes of the river channel in the wetland from 2001 to 2020,this study mainly explored the characteristics of its spatial and temporal distribution and its evolution pattern. Also, variable areas were divided according to the changes in the river channel, and the reasons for the dynamic changes of the ecological environment in the nature reserve were analyzed. The research found that the river area in the study area expanded, and the change of the river course was slight. From 2001 to 2020,the area of some sections of the Yellow River channel fluctuated, and the north-south deviation of the main body of the river was in the range of 0.8~5.3km.The variable areas were mainly in the eastern and central part of the river channel. This study could provide an effective foundation for the ecological zoning control of Zhengzhou Yellow River Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve, which would facilitate the implementation of scientific and feasible protection measures in the area.
