Isolation and Biological Characteristics of Pathogenic Fungus Causing Ring Rot on Mulberry Leaves
From June to August , 2012, the pathogenic fungi of mulberry ring rot disease was isolated , its pathoge-nicity was determined in the feild , its morphology was observed , and this pathogenic fungus was identified as Gona-tophragmium mori.Study on the biological characteristics of the pathogenic fungus showed that medium , tempera-ture , pH, carbon source , nitrogen source and light had certain influence on mycelial growth , the optimal media for mycelial growth was Richard media , the optimum temperature for mycelial growth was 25℃and pH value was 7, the best carbon source and nitrogen source for mycelial grow are glucose and peptone , light had no significant effects on mycelial growth , the mycelial couldn ’ t survive above 85℃for 10min.This is the first report on the study of Gonato-phragmium mori in Yunnan , and could provide reference on mulberry ring rot disease prevention and control .
