Final Selection of Half-sib Progeny Superior Families of Cunninghamia lanceolata
Introduced from 14 primary seed orchards nationwide, and established from 1985,84 Cunninghamia lanceolata stands of half-sib progeny were analyzed on 4 ages (5-year,8-year,26-year and 30-year).The results showed that there were significant differences among most family progenies in tree height,DBH and volume at different stages of growth. The growth traits presented stable in juvenile-mature period.According to the volume of 30-year-old families,15 families produced from Guangxi,Guizhou,Hunan and Fujian were finally selected as superior families. The average volume, volume gain and genetic gain of the superior families were more than 0.335 0m3,15.73% and 11.93%,respectively,among which, the average genetic gain of superior families produced from Guangxi was up to 65.52%.
