Flavonoids and Main Nutritional Components in Flower Buds of Caragana sinica,A Woody Forest Vegetable
In order to investigate the nutritional value of the edible parts of Caragana sinica,a woody forest vegeta-ble),the flavonoids and anthocyanins in fresh C.sinica flower buds were targeted and quantitative analyzed,and the main nutritional components were determined.The results showed that the content of total flavonoids was 0.74 mg/g,and the highest content of catechins was 95.58 ng/mg.The content of anthocyanins(16.06 µg/g)was much lower than that of flavonoids(0.74 mg/g).Flavonoid was the main active chemical substance in C.sinica flower buds.The main nutritional components were as follows:crude protein 23.65 g/100 g,vitamin C 40.00 µg/100 mg,total soluble sugar 86.80 mg/g,total dietary fiber 23.40 g/100 g,22 kinds of amino acids,magnesium,phosphorus,potassium,calcium and other mineral elements.No toxic and harmful mineral elements were detected.The main nu-tritional components in fresh flower buds of C.sinica are safe and complete.It is suggested to popularize planting in suitable areas.
