Characteristic of Flora,Life Form and Leaf Phase in Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis Forest in Yunnan Province from China
Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis is an important strategic forest resource in Yunnan province of China, but its plant resource diversity has not been reported systematically. In order to reveal its flora characteristics and com-munity appearance, this study based on the data of 144 community survey plots, the vascular flora characteristics, life form and leaf phase of P.kesiya var.langbianensis forest in Yunnan were analyzed. The results showed that there were 800 species,440 genera, and 130 families, recorded,in surveyed plots, including 61 species,36 genera, and 18 families of ferns,7 species,4 genera, and 2 families of gymnosperms, and 732 species,400 genera, and 110 families of angiosperms. The dominant families were Fabaceae,Fagaceae and Poaceae. The dominant genera were Ficus,Cas-tanopsis and Lithocarpus. The geographical composition of the families was dominated by tropical components, and all of them were pantropical components. And the temperate distribution type was mainly north temperate zone and its variant type. There was no Chinese endemic family recognized, and 9 genera were endemic to China. The high pro-portion of oligotypic and monotypic genera indicated diverse response of the communities to varied habitat filtering.Cooccurence of the ancient flora and new taxa were found in the communities investigated.Raunkiaer's life form was of'L'shape, and the phaenerophyte was the dominant type, accounting for 61.25%.The plant leaf phase were mainly in papery(44.00%),single leaves(74.50%),entire(67.75%),mesophyll(46.38%).This results of this study was helpful to further understand the forest flora characteristics of P.kesiya var.langbianensis and provide ref-erence value for its ecological protection and management.
