Differential Responses of Soil Carbon,Nitrogen and Phosphorus Eco-stoichiometric Ratio to Monoculture and Mixed Coniferous-Broadleaved Plantations
In order to elucidate the effects of mixed coniferous broad-leaved and monoculture plantations on soil carbon(C),nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P)ecological stoichiometric ratios, coniferous tree species Pinus massoniana,broad-leaved tree Erythrophleum fordii, and their mixed plantations in south subtropical regions of China were se-lected as the research objects.According to soil carbon, nitrogen ratio(C/N),carbon,phosphorus ratio(C/P)and nitrogen, phosphorus ratio(N/P)in topsoil(0-20 cm),middle layer(20-40 cm)and subsoil(40-60 cm)of each stand.Used variance analysis to examine the differences of soil C/N,C/P and N/P in different stands and soil lay-ers.The results showed that(1)The difference of soil ecological stoichiometry ratio of C,N and P in different stands varied according to soil layer.Soil C/N had no significant difference between three stands(P>0.05),and the topsoil C/P of P.massoniana-E.fordii mixed plantations was significantly higher than that of P.massoniana(P<0.05).Soil N/P was significantly higher in the topsoil and subsoil of E.fordii and mixed plantations than that in P.massoniana.(2)The trend of soil C,N and P ecological stoichiometric ratios with increasing soil depth varied ac-cording to the stand types.Soil C/N in the P.massoniana topsoil was significantly higher than middle layer and sub-soil(P<0.05),but soil C/P in middle layer in was significantly higher than that of the topsoil and subsoil.Soil N/P of P.massoniana and mixed forest decreased with increasing soil depth.(3)Study plantations soil C/N and C/P were significantly positively correlated with SOC(P<0.05),and soil N/P was significantly positively correlated with TN(P<0.01).In conclusion, construction of E.fordii and mixed P.massoniana and E.fordii plantations has more obvious effects on the balance of C,N and P nutrients than that of P.massoniana in the subtropical China.
