Study on the Habitat and Quality of Coffee at Different Altitudes
From 2017 to 2018,one observation point was set up at an altitude of 760,978,1 270,1 440 and 1 640 m respec-tively in Xinzhai Village,Lujiang Town,Longyang District,Baoshan,Yunnan,to investigate the correlation between alti-tude and coffee quality. The results showed that as the altitude increased, the average annual temperature and solar expo-sure decreased, precipitation and soil nutrient availability increased, flowering and fruiting periods were delayed, and the coffee cup score showed an upward trend. The altitude was positively correlated with the cup score. But when the altitude exceeds 1 500 m,the yield seriously decreases, the hollowing rate is high, and the harvesting period coincides with the rainy season.Overall, coffee grown in mid altitude areas(978,1 270,1 440 m)performs well and has reached the premi-um level.
